Titan WADG Robotic Bending Cell
Robot-loaded WADG press brake cell for bending repeat part families
- WADG, 10 to 160 t
The Titan WADG Robotic Bending Cell combines a WADG fully electric press brake with a six-axis robot, grippers, a centring station, a flip or regrip station and stacking, all under coordinated cell control. The robot picks the blank, presents it to the tools, turns it between bends and stacks the finished part.
It suits repeat part families where labour is the constraint rather than machine time. Each cell is laid out from the parts, batch mix and floor space.
Key features
Blank pickup
The robot collects each blank from a defined loading position with a gripper suited to the part. Pickup zones and surface protection are set for the material being run.
Blank separation
Separation checks at the loading stack stop two sheets being picked together. Double-sheet detection is available where the material and stack condition call for it.
Centring station
A centring station sets the bend datum before the part reaches the press brake. Every blank is presented to the tools from the same reference.
Vision part location (optional)
A vision system can locate the part from its features and correct the robot grip. It is tested on the actual parts, lighting and correction range before the cell is specified.
Coordinated robot bending
The press brake positions its backgauge while the robot presents and turns the part. Robot paths and gripper clearance are programmed around the part geometry.
Flip and regrip
Flip frames, regrip stations or gripper changes bring each face of the part to the tools. Modules are chosen from the part family and bend sequence.
Finished-part stacking
Finished parts are placed or stacked to a set pattern for the next operation. Output access and handoffs are included in the cell layout.
Cell control and recovery
The robot, press brake and stations run on agreed handshakes for loading, bending and transfer. Recovery states define how an operator clears a stopped sequence and restarts.
Options
- Vision part location
- Double-sheet detection
- Additional regrip and flip stations
- Gripper change station
- Robot track
- Automated loading and unloading stations

Is the WADG Bending Cell right for your workshop?
Send us drawings of the parts you want automated, with materials, blank sizes and batch volumes. We will check them for robot bending, specify the press brake, robot and stations, and lay the cell out in your floor space.

| What varies | How it is decided |
| Press brake | WADG model from 10 t x 500 mm to 160 t x 3200 mm, chosen from the parts |
| Robot payload and reach | Set by part weight, size and the bend sequence |
| Grippers | Selected for the part family and surface |
| Regrip and flip | Modules chosen from the bend sequence |
| Loading and stacking | Set by blank size, batch mix and output |
| Footprint and guarding | Laid out from the floor space and operator access |
| Interfaces | Cell control, offline programming and MES or ERP links as required |
Each cell is specified as a project. Send us drawings of the part family, materials, blank sizes and batch volumes, and we will lay out the cell and provide a cycle study.
Specifications are indicative and subject to change by the manufacturer without notice. Please confirm any figure critical to your application before ordering.
