Titan WAD Tandem Press Brake

Titan WAD Tandem Press Brake

Two matched Titan WAD press brakes run as one bend line for long parts

  • How it is decided
  • Force and length of each machine, chosen from the part length and force per metre
  • Sum of both machines, set by the longest part
  • Linked tandem and independent operation, confirmed per project

The Titan WAD Tandem pairs two matched Titan WAD press brakes on a common tooling and workpiece reference, with linked ram and backgauge control. The two machines bend together as one long line, or separately as two press brakes when the work allows.

It suits poles, lighting columns, trailer and truck sections and long architectural panels that exceed the length of a single machine. Each tandem is specified from the part length, force per metre and site.

Key features

Matched and aligned machines

Both press brakes are aligned to a common tooling and workpiece reference, with frame geometry, worktable height and the junction between machines commissioned together. A long part sees one continuous bend line.

Linked ram control

Linked control coordinates the ram axes of both machines through a tandem bend. Force and position are shared across the full length, so a long part is formed in one stroke.

Linked backgauge positioning

The tandem control package positions both backgauges together for the selected mode. Flange length is held consistent across the full width of the part.

Crowning across the junction

Each worktable carries its own motor-driven crowning, set together so angle and straightness hold across the joint between machines. Long parts are checked at agreed points, including the junction.

Long-part handling

Follower supports and lifting equipment are selected for the part weight, length and access. Long workpieces are supported and turned on a defined route rather than by hand.

Linked or independent modes

The two machines run as one tandem for long parts, or as two separate press brakes for shorter work. Capacity is not tied up when long parts are not on the schedule.

Options

  • Delem DA-66T or DA-69T controllers
  • Additional backgauge axes
  • Sheet followers
  • Hydraulic or pneumatic tool clamping
  • Angle measurement
  • Hybrid servo pump drive
