Cosen SH-520DM / 700DM Semi-Automatic Mitre Bandsaw

The Cosen SH-520DM and SH-700DM are semi-automatic horizontal bandsaws with a swivel head that mitres 60 degrees to either side of square while the material and bed stay fixed. Hydraulic frame lift with return and a full stroke hydraulic vice make each cut a load, clamp and start operation, with the angle set by hand on a lock handle against a protractor kept clear of chips.
They suit structural and general fabricators cutting H-beam, I-beam, channel, angle and tube one piece at a time where left and right mitres are needed on the same bar. The SH-520DM cuts 250 x 520 mm on a 34 mm blade in a small footprint; the SH-700DM is the heavy-duty machine at 450 x 700 mm on a 41 mm blade and 7.5 HP drive.
Key features
Swivel head 60 degrees both sides
The saw head swivels on a rigid joint shaft and pivot to any angle from 60 degrees left to 60 degrees right, read from a protractor and pointer mounted clear of the chip area. Left and right mitres on one bar are cut without turning the material.
Material stays fixed
The head rotates and the bed and vice do not, so the bar is loaded, clamped and cut at either mitre direction without moving the stock or the infeed support. Long lengths are handled on fixed roller stands at both mitre angles.
Slotted work table
The table is slotted for the blade at the common mitre angles so the blade clears the table at any setting and coolant drains back to the tank. Cut pieces sit flat and the table is not cut into over time.
Full stroke hydraulic vice
The vice clamps through its full stroke hydraulically, so any section within capacity is held without repositioning the jaw. Loading and clamping take the same time whatever the size on the job.
Adjustable right guide arm
The right-hand guide arm is adjusted to the material so the blade is supported close to the cut at larger mitre angles where the span across the section is longest. Cut squareness holds at 60 degrees on channel and RHS.
Manual lock handle
The head is locked at the set angle with a single handle after the pointer is read against the protractor. Angle changes between parts take seconds and repeat without a trial cut.
SH-700DM heavy-duty frame
The larger machine cuts 450 mm round and 450 x 700 mm on a 41 mm blade with a 5.6 kW drive and hydraulic blade tension. Beam and heavy structural section are double mitred on a swivel-head saw without stepping up to a dual-column machine.
Vice pressure regulator
An optional regulator sets vice clamping pressure from zero to full system pressure on a gauge. Thin-wall tube and soft material are held without distortion, and the setting is repeated from the gauge reading.
