The Sandermatic is the automated, high-output form of hook blasting. Rotating hooks are spaced at a fixed pitch on an endless overhead monorail and index through the blast chamber step by step, while parts are loaded and unloaded at one station on the loop.

It is built for production volume and in-line work, where blasting feeds directly into painting or the next process. Typical work is aluminium die castings, ferrous and non-ferrous castings, structural steel parts, gears and heat-treated components, with vibrating screens and magnetic separators added for foundry use.

Key features

Overhead monorail loop

Hooks are spaced at a constant pitch on an endless overhead monorail that carries them through the blast chamber and back to the start. Blasting runs continuously while the operator loads and unloads.

Rotating hooks

Each hook rotates in front of the blast wheels so all faces of the hanging parts are cleaned. Complex castings and batches of small parts are covered without manual turning.

Single load and unload station

Raw parts go on and clean parts come off at the same point on the loop, positioned to suit the flow into the next operation. One operator can run the machine.

In-line with painting

The Sandermatic is commonly installed as part of a blast and paint line. Parts stay on the hooks between processes rather than being unloaded and re-hung.
