The Capri is the OMSG hook-type shot blaster. Parts are hung singly or in batches on a hook that travels into the chamber and rotates in front of patented side-mounted blast wheels, so every surface is exposed to the abrasive.

Chamber size, wheel count and power, and the hook loading system are chosen to the part, from a manual hook for light castings to hoist handling of 2000 to 5000 kg, and 16000 kg and over on special builds. Foundry versions add vibrating screens and magnetic separators to take sand and scale out of the shot.

Key features

Rotating hook

Parts hang on a hook that travels into the blast chamber and rotates during the cycle. Every face is turned towards the wheels, including undercuts and pockets that a fixed part would shadow.

Four loading systems

The Capri M has a manual hook for light parts, the C a chain-driven hook, the CS a combined chain and hoist for medium to large parts, and the H hoist handling for heavy work. Loading is matched to part weight and how many parts go through per shift.

Side-mounted patented wheels

OMSG blast wheels are mounted on the side of the chamber and throw abrasive across the rotating load. Coverage is even from the top of the hook to the bottom.

Foundry equipment

For castings, the Capri can be fitted with a vibrating screen and magnetic separator to remove moulding sand and scale from the abrasive. The shot stays clean and wheel wear stays down when blasting sand-cast parts.

Hoist versions are built for loads of 16000 kg and over on special order. Chamber size and wheel layout are set by the parts you blast and the output you need.
