OMSG Sanderplate Vertical Plate Shot Blaster
Plate blasted on edge, both sides in one pass
- Vertical design | Plate on edge | Driven power rollers
The Sanderplate blasts plate standing on edge. Plates travel upright, leaning at a slight angle, on a driven roller conveyor, with blast wheels on both sides so both faces are cleaned in a single pass at a controlled speed.
Standing the plate up simplifies the machine and means shot falls away instead of lying on the top face, so plate leaves free of abrasive. Upper wheels can be switched off when narrower plate is running, cutting power use and wheel wear on smaller work.
Key features
Vertical plate handling
Plate stands on edge and leans at a slight angle as it travels on a driven roller conveyor. This allows a simpler machine than a horizontal plate blaster.
Both faces in one pass
Blast wheels on each side of the plate clean both faces at the same time. Plate does not need to be turned over and run through a second time.
Shot-free exit
With the plate vertical, abrasive falls away rather than lying on the top face. Plate leaves the machine clean, without the brushing and blowing needed on a horizontal conveyor.
Wheels switched by plate size
Upper wheels can be shut off when narrower plate is running. Power use and wheel wear follow the plate being blasted rather than the full capacity of the machine.
Is the Sanderplate right for your workshop?
Tell us the plate sizes and thicknesses you run and the tonnage you need through per shift. We will specify the conveyor and wheel layout, work out the floor space it needs and lay the machine out in your building.

| What varies | How it is decided |
| Plate height on edge | Set by the widest plate to be blasted |
| Plate length | Set by conveyor length and floor space |
| Blast wheels | Number and power set by plate size and output |
| Conveyor speed | Controlled to suit the finish required |
| Wheel use | Upper wheels switched off for narrower plate |
The Sanderplate is built to order around plate size and output. Send us your plate dimensions and tonnage and we will specify the machine.
